Introduction
This is a user-generated content website. The goal of this website to show the commercial and ecological benefits of agriculture with perennial crops. There is a database about plant species. Plants can be compared with each other and cultivation plans can be created in InterCropModels. Registering is free and it gives access to many fields that you can create yourself. It is possible to sell and buy plant related products; such as, seeds, seedlings, phytochemicals, pesticides, symbiotic fungi and bacteria, fruits, nuts, timber, and much more. Some of them are advertised and sold in private sections of this platform in supply chains. Members can submit for different functions and organize supply chains at this platform. However, supply chains are managed by MIS (Management Information Systems) and is not yet fully tested. Go here directly to your control panel where you can see how many credits you have from adding data to the Rozendale Agroforestry Database.
Why agriculture with perennial crops?
RAD (Rozendale Agroforestry Database) is started as a passion in 2013 during my studies about Tropical Agriculture. There are many tropical agricultural plants which grow only in the tropics. Perennial crops require less maintenance once they are established. Many tropical farmers do not have machinery to plough, til, sow, and harvest the lands. Another reason is that tropical countries do often not invest in breeding programs for annual crops. In developed countries they have good summers, machinery, and good seed varieties, so they will have the capacity to farm on larger quantities of land and they will also have a higher yield per square meter.

RAD (Rozendale Agroforestry Database) is a database-table with facts and figures about plant species (over 100 columns of information). Beside that there are many other database tables that have relations (bacteria, fungi, insects, diseases, phytochemicals, ICM, etc.)
ICM (InterCrop Model) is a model where information about plant species are described more specifically. Facts and Figures are analysed to write cultivation plans for farmers. For some plant species intercropping is symbiotic (the primary crop benfits from the nearby crops and also the opposite). Those other crops can be selected in ICM and it uses filters of the facts and figures in RAD to select only the crops that meet the commercial and ecological demands of the farmer.
PMP (Plant Market Platform) is a platform where all users of this website can make advertentions about seeds and phytochemicals and perhaps later also crops from the plantspecies that are described in RAD. The photos of those advertentions can be selected from previously uploaded photos at PPD.
PPD (Plant Photo Database) is a database where 6 diferent types of photos about the plant species can be uploaded and being viewed: Detail photos, vertical photos, seedling photos, stem photos, seed photos, and the photo about the plant's crops.
UPF (Unknown Plants Forum) is a filtered list where all the photos are located whereby the name of the species is unknown. Guests can help members of this site to find the name of the species.
MIS (Management Information System) is a platform that can be used to create supply chains for agricultural crops. This platform consits out of many database-tables; such as, input suppliers, farmers, collection points, processors, traders, retailers, cultivars, crops in farm, farmer's calendar month reports, farmer's sales, CP's purchases, CP's processes, CP's sales, etc. The goal of this platform is to provide information to potential processors and retailers and also to provide information to external auditors in order to provide food safety certificates.
