Garcinia livingstonei (Imbe) is a tropical tree from East Africa . It is mainly grown for its fruit crops , which have a medium shelf life. The crop is harvested by hand picking. It starts flowering after 5 - 6 years. The yield will be small fruit yield, but in its top season there will be a yield of ?. Other crop types include; timber, ornamental, fruit, fuel, fodder, poison herbicide, medicinal. The fruit is used as delicacy .
